Final classifications Spain Classic Raid

The Catalans Juan Donatiu and Pere Serrat are the winners of the first edition of Spain Classic Raid on board of their 1982 Ford Fiesta. Their 76 points in the general ranking allowed them to take it a tad easier in the final stages of the only raid for classic cars to be held in Spain, as team number 19, Roberto Pérez and Alfredo Aparicio with their Renault 4-F, came second at 11 points.
The third position was for Miguel Angel Garcia and Monica Lopez will their powerful Volkswagen Golf Syncro 4×4 from Asturias, the same region as Darío Moran and Jonatan Alvarez, who finished fourth, in spite of fighting against the endless problems with their Ford Fiesta.
The first Madrilians to finish were the brothers Gonzalo and José Carlos Huertas with a Seat Marbella before the Catalans Juan José Marrero and Juan José Marrero junior with their Volkswagen Golf GTI. Completing the top ten of the general ranking were Antonio Pomarol and Carmen Antolín with the first rear wheel drive, a Seat 131, the brothers David and Adrián Ferrero with their unbreakable Volkswagen Polo Classic, Lucio Arias and Mª Sol Garcia with a Seat Ibiza and Juan Farnés and Jose Oriola navigating their Renault 5 GTL.

In the category for cars with an engine of less than 1 litre, the ranking was very close, with a shared second and third position. The number of 0’s determined the final ranking. Roberto Pérez and Alfredo Aparicio came first, Darío Moran and Jonatan Alvarez second, and Gonzalo Huertas and José Carlos Huertas completing the top three.

In the four-wheel drive category Miguel Angel Garcia and Monica Lopez claimed the victory over Jose Manuel Muñoz and Roberto Muñoz with a Fiat Panda 4×4, Rafael Robles and Enrique Alcoceba with their Land Rover Santana and Albert Gabande and Miguel Gabande with a Fiat Panda 4×4.
